February 25, 2012 (La Mesa) - Gourmet meals prepared by award-winning chefs in Grossmont College's Culinary Arts program can now be yours on Thursday evenings this spring for the bargain price of $20 per person. They're a tasty way to support students aspiring to become culinary professionals.
The meals will be served in the Culinary Dining Room at Grossmont College's Griffin Center, the new student center that opened last month. Diners will look out on a scenic view of East County as they enjoy their meals.
Dinners will be served at 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays and sell out fast. Spaces are still available on March 2, 22 and 29; April 19 and 26; and May 3 and 10. Tickets are prepaid and major credit cards are accepted.
Entrée choices for the spring include Pasta Alfredo with Diced Vegetables and Spinach tossed in Tomato Cream; Braised Beef with Braised Red Cabbage;Panko Breaded Eggplant Lasagna; and Rosemary Crusted Pork Medallions.
